Evaluating Lexical Complexity From EGP to ESP Textbooks

چکیده
ESP classes are usually designed for college students after they finish EGP learning. Accordingly, textbooks used use the ones. Logically, should be lexically more sophisticated than ones, because linguistic contents also important concerns teaching, and promote students’ language development in addition to their professional advancement. This research aims compare lexical complexity between among students. With sophistication as an index complexity, this study found some were easier ones study, which contrasts with input hypothesis. implicates that textbook writers consider of when writing textbooks.
